In 2026, Ireland marks the 150th anniversary of the daring rescue of six Fenian prisoners from Fremantle Prison in Western Australia by the whaling ship Catalpa in April 1876.
As part of the Catalpa 150 commemorations, the National Museum of Ireland will display the Catalpa flag in the Palatine Room at Collins Barracks on Saturday 18th of April from 12:00 and Sunday 19 April from 13:00.
